Our staff are highly qualified and experienced with decades of specialist experience across Australia and internationally.

We have a modern fully equipped laboratory with the highest quality microscope systems available equipped with high resolution photo-montage systems.

We hold an extensive voucher collection of invertebrate specimens and manage this with a purpose-built database.

We have internal capability to identify specimens to lowest taxonomic rank, as well as a wide ranging network of aligned specialists and taxonomists in state museums, universities and other research institutions across Australia and internationally.

  • Maintaining a specimen voucher collection, confirming identifications with recognised taxonomic authorities and lodging representative specimen vouchers with state museums.
  • Rigorously checking data quality in databases.
  • Rigorously reviewing reports and documentation prior to release.
  • Regularly reviewing our QAQC systems and processes.

Subterranean Ecology is a corporate member of the Environmental Consultants Association (WA) Inc. (ECA) the professional body representing commercial environmental consultants throughout Western Australia.
